- 12 medium sized apples
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup apple cider
- Peel and cut apples into chunks.
- Mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, a dash of salt and the apple cider. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer for approximately 20 minutes. Uses a potato masher while cooking to help breakdown the softened apples. Serve warm or cool.
